"Germany's most beautiful hiking trail" leads 45 kilometers on a panoramic path through the Black Forest and around Baden-Baden (according to the "Wandermagazin 2020").
It can be walked in one piece or divided into stages. There are four sections, which are easily accessible by public transport. The trail overcomes a maximum altitude difference of 1,420 meters on the entire route. One way to get started is to take the Merkurberg cable car. It is a meter-gauge funicular railroad that leads up Baden-Baden's local mountain Merkur. The route has a gradient of 23% to a maximum of 58%.
From up there you have a fantastic view all the way to the Vosges mountains, you can watch paragliders take off or simply enjoy an Aperol Spritz in the sun.
After a day full of hiking and great views, the Caracalla Spa awaits you with more than 4000m² of extensive bathing pleasure in the hot thermal water. Recreation and relaxation are guaranteed. For three hours you can linger in the various hot and cold pools and sweat in different steam baths and saunas. An all-round perfect arrangement to enjoy the nature of the Black Forest and the magic of the thermal water.
